Introduction

MST has recently been expanding their entire RC Drift car product line-up. Recently they have been producing their own wheels. As part of the pre-order of the MST FS-01D chassis, they gifted buyers a set of their new MST wheels.

Overall Quality

Our set was a plain white set of 5-spoke drift wheels with 5mm offset. The packaging is very impressive, it is very stylish and serves to protect the wheels. The instructions are printed on the backside of the package. The wheels include a set of inner sponge that serves to dampen the sound from the drift tires. The new white 5 spoke drift wheels are very nicely detailed and molded. Each spoke of the wheels are backed with added material to ensure durability of the wheel. Overall very good quality wheels.

Product Review

The wheels are very durable, they have been molded with additional support for each spoke. After some abuse, light crashing into walls and cars and a also a small angled jump. The wheels held up without a problem. When fitting MST drift tires on the wheels, they fit without a problem. When we mounted some standard T-Drift tires on them they do not fit across the entire wheel, there is approximately a 1mm to 2mm lip of the wheel showing; giving a more stretched tire look. The inner sponges are a good addition, they slightly dampen the noise and help to keep the tire in place. Overall we are very happy with the quality and performance of these wheels.

Conclusion

These drift wheels are a good addition to the MST line-up. They are very durable and stylish, all at a reasonable price. The hex inner hub are standard which means they will fit on many popular RC Drift chassis. MST has shown that they are commited to the RC Drift market, they have been continually releasing new products. Keep an eye on them as they will be a major player in the RC Drift market.
